Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine
Like the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine, the launch of the powerful and portable Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine was a major milestone for Bantam Tools. In launching this desktop CNC, the company became a multi-product company. The machine was designed to be lightweight and compact, yet powerful enough to handle soft metals like aluminum, brass, and copper.
A Unique Launch
One of the challenges of this launch was that we were unveiling it at IMTS (International Manufacturing Trade Show). The show takes place every two years and so our team knew that we had to make a splash. As a result, preparing to launch the Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine and its core accessories was two-fold. On the one hand, our team needed to create content to tease and launch the machine, but on the other also needed to prepare materials, build publicity, and a create demo for the event. To accomplish this, our team worked closely with our contract publicist and engineering team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Launch Plan: I created a content launch plan and schedule for the Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine’s launch.
Printable Marketing Materials: To prepare for IMTS, I worked closely with our video producer to create a series of one-pagers highlighting both the Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine and the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine. We also took the opportunity to make one-pages for our machine control software, Turnkey Solutions service, and our accessories. I handled the copy while he designed the layout.
Script Writing: I collaborated with our video producer to write a script for our launch video.
Email Marketing Copywriting: I worked closely with our email marketing specialist to create a teaser campaign leading up to the launch of the Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine. We worked together to warm up the IMTS audience, as well as tease our mailing list.
Ad Copy: I wrote ad copy for the teaser, launch, and shipping phases for the Bantam Tools Explorer™.
Product Copy: I wrote all copy for the product listings of the new items were launching.
Blog Posts: I wrote a series of blog posts to generate buzz around the launch of the new machine and how it compared to our existing Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine.
FAQ Messaging: As with all product launches, I created an FAQ complete with anticipated questions and answers. The goal of this document is to help our team stay on brand when speaking with current and prospective customers. It also gives us a place to track common questions and identify content we may need to make to provide more clarity and/or proof.
Social Media Copy & Schedule: Over the course of the launch I worked with the marketing team to coordinate posts that highlighted the new products and early users.
