To me influencer marketing isn’t just about driving awareness about the brand; it’s about building a relationship with key people within a community and, ultimately, building a better relationship with the community as a whole. I also think that influencer marketing as a multi-media component. It gives brands the opportunity to brand out and connect with communities and customers in unique ways. As a result, I believe that having a mix of social media, experiential marketing, publication placements, podcasts, and more. In my roles at MetroWall, Bantam Toos, and St. Martin’s Press I have gained experience in all of these types of marketing.

Thought Leadership & Media Outreach

When I started at MetroWall, one of my responsibilities was to continue to position the brand as a thought leader. After conducting market research, I determined that two of the best ways to build influence was to get placements in publications like Work Design Magazine, Glass Magazine, and Metropolis Magazine, as well as doing podcasts with top professionals in the industry. Since joining the MetroWall team in 2023, we have collaborated with Metropolis Magazine for several articles and we have placed pieces in Glass Magazine’s digital newsletter.

Bantam Tools Remote Residency

The chance to coordinate the Bantam Tools remote residency program was a major reason I was drawn to working with Bantam Tools. The remote residency brings together engineers, designers, and artists at the forefront of digital fabrication. Over the duration of these collaborations, residents machine projects and share their progress. In addition to researching and recruiting potential candidates for the residency, I would check in with these residents regularly to see how their projects were going. I would also provide support if they were having trouble with the machine or its software. Additionally, I would teach residents how to CAM their parts using Fusion 360. This required me to have extensive knowledge about the machines, software, SVG creation, and CAD/CAM software.
