The Verdict: It Depends

Some books you read because you’re curious why everyone is raving about them, other books you stumble on when you need them. This book was good, but mainly due to the time I came to it. For those who chronically give too much energy to the things they cannot control, the right time is now to read this book. Robbins’ prose is conversational, and her examples, while personal, resonate. Robbins touches briefly on philosophy and psychology throughout the book, but they all appear to be her friends or someone who’s been on her podcast. Additionally, Robbins often depicts things in a very black and white fashion, where the waters may be more grey. But for those struggling to focus on what they can control, this is a good place to start looking for ways to take back that energy.
